Synopsis:
I need help from outside myself because I tend to believe whatever justifies my current behavior, regardless of its correspondence to reality. God is truth and I need to come to Him to know what is good. He loves me before I love Him and He strengthens me if I would be satisfied in Him rather than in anything else. Deciding to choose God rather than self is both the first step as well as the goal; having believed, now I am challenged to Remain.
